These rare vintage earrings are attributed to Regency, a well-known name in mid-century costume jewelry. Though unmarked, their design, metal finish, and high-quality rhinestones strongly suggest they are from Regency.
The highlight of these earrings is the stunning Sapharine stones—a type of glass originally developed in early 1900s Germany using a technique similar to the more widely known Czech Saphiret glass from the Victorian era. Saphiret glass is prized for its unique color-changing quality and is made by mixing real gold into the glass. As gold prices rose, these stones became increasingly valuable and collectible.
The earrings feature large, bold Sapharine stones that shift in color depending on the light, adding dramatic charm to any look. They were originally part of a set with a matching brooch, and despite the lack of a maker’s mark on the earrings themselves, the craftsmanship clearly aligns with Regency’s known aesthetic and standards.
This piece is in excellent vintage condition and perfect for collectors or vintage jewelry enthusiasts looking for rare and historically significant items.

About Rm Antiques' Vintage Jewelry
Our vintage jewelry is cleaned as much as possible after it arrives and stored so that it is ready for immediate use.
However, due to aging, even after thorough inspection, it is rare that rhinestones or pearls may fall off during shipping. This can be easily fixed with craft glue.
All vintage jewelry will be delivered in our gift box unless the original box is available, so you can send it as a gift as is.
